The CSA staff consists of Care Coordinators, who are mental health professionals, and Family Partners who have personal experience as caretakers of children with emotional or behavioral challenges. We also have a psychopharmacologist, who provides expertise on medication. All of our staff is trained in the theory and practice of Wraparound care planning. Many of the staff of both CSA locations is multilingual.
Joy has been working with Children’s Friend since 2004. She started as a Care Manager for the CFFC wraparound program and was promoted to the Lead Care Manager in 2006. She supervised wraparound clinicians for 3 years, and in 2009 was promoted to the Director of the Lynn Area CSA. Joy also has a small private practice where she works with children and families. Joy received her Master’s in Social Work with a certification in school social work from the University of Michigan. She has worked in school and clinic settings, as well as in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. She spent two years living in Paraguay as a Peace Corps Volunteer where she worked with teachers and students in rural schools. She is fluent in Spanish and works with both English and Spanish speaking clients. Joy has been trained in Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
