Be a force for families.

Children’s Friend is a mission driven organization whose dedicated team members work daily “to improve the lives of children and promote strong families.”  Our team of over 200 employees reach nearly 3,000 children and their families each year, on-site, at home or in schools in the cities of Lynn, Salem, Gloucester and Lawrence and their surrounding areas.  Founded in Salem, MA in 1837 Children’s Friend is 179 years in age but modern in mindset and practices.

Help us serve our communities using progressive, strategic, evidence based practices such as Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Positive Parenting Program. Our team provides compassionate and innovative care through a variety of programs: Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative services, Juvenile Court Clinic services, mental health counseling, family and parent support programs, Teen Parenting Program, In-Home Therapy, Therapeutic Mentoring and Volunteer Youth Mentoring.

Whether you’re a licensed clinician, social worker, recent college graduate or someone who just wants to work with children and families, you’ll be sure to find an exciting and enriching career at Children’s Friend and Family Services.
